Deputies are investigating after a person was shot near a gas station in downtown Fallbrook on Sunday evening.
The victim was flown via helicopter to a hospital for treatment.
The shooting was reported just after 8:40 p.m. on Ammunition Road at South Main Avenue, at an Arco AM/PM, Lt. John Spach said.
The lieutenant had no information about the shooter or what may have preceded the gunfire.
No further information was immediately available.
