Driver dies after crashing pickup into semitrailer in El Cajon ID’d

A 37-year-old woman who died after her pickup crashed into the rear of a semitrailer in El Cajon last month has been identified by the county Medical Examiner’s Office.

Jamie Leanne Jensen was driving west on Bradley Avenue just west of Johnson Avenue on the morning of Feb. 25 when she crashed into the parked trailer, officials said.

A passerby called 911 after coming upon the crash, which police said occurred shortly after 1:15 a.m. Jensen died before she could be taken to a hospital.

It isn’t known if drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision, El Cajon police Lt. Darrin Forster said in a news release at the time of the crash.
