A 31-year-old motorcycle rider was injured and his 31-year-old passenger was killed in a motorcycle crash in Ramona on Wednesday, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The Harley Davidson collided with the rear of a Range Rover on northbound state Route 67 at Dye Road around 12:55 p.m. Wednesday, Officer Jasmine Lopez said in a news release.
The man and woman on the motorcycle, both Chula Vista residents, were ejected, Lopez said.
The passenger suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Her name was not released Thursday. The rider suffered moderate injuries.
The Range Rover’s driver — a 69-year-old man from Thermal — was uninjured.
It was not immediately known if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
