Two men and two women killed in an early morning Thanksgiving Day crash in San Diego were identified by the county Medical Examiner’s Office Friday.
Jonathan Torres, 26; Linet Manasyan, 33; Nelly Tamara Espinoza, 20; and Ivan Aniceto Torres, 35, were all ejected from a BMV SUV after the crash about 2:25 a.m. on state Route 94 near Interstate 15, just west of Home Avenue, according to county officials.
The California High Patrol said Torres, of San Diego, lost control of the SUV he was driving, causing it to overturn multiple times. None of the victims were wearing seat belts, investigators said.
All four victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Manasyan was an Imperial Beach resident, Espinoza was from National City and Aniceto Torres was from Chula Vista, the Medical Examiner’s Office said.
According to CHP, the Medical Examiner’s Office will perform a toxicology report to determine if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
