SAN DIEGO —
A 52-year-old man was shot in the chest early Wednesday when the man he was arguing with in a Bay Terraces apartment complex parking lot fired at him, San Diego police said.
The shooting occurred on Potomac Street near Paradise Valley Road around 5:45 a.m.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to his chest and drove himself to a hospital. He was transferred to a trauma center but doctors determined he did not suffer any serious organ damage, said police Officer David O’Brien. His wound was not considered life threatening.
The gunman ran off after the shooting and had not been found as of midmorning, O’Brien said.
