Glastonbury Festival 2023 have had a number of massive bands play over the course of the weekend, including Guns N Roses, Lewis Capaldi, and Foo Fighters.
Unfortunately, the line-up lost out on a band at the last minute this morning.
Glastonbury’s Twitter account revealed The Joy had been “forced to cancel” their spot on the Other Stage at 10:14am, just 45 minutes before the set was due to take place.
The account wrote: “Unfortunately, The Joy have been forced to cancel their 11am performance at the Other Stage.”
Glasto officials also confirmed The Joy’s Other Stage spot will be filled in by another group.
The Glasto Twitter went on: “They will be replaced by Mother Sky.”
The Joy posted a statement on their own Instagram account where they expressed “disappointment” about having to cancel the show.
They revealed their singer’s was unable to perform, but they had a back-up plan.
The band said: “He is recovering here, and we’ll be playing on the BBC today, afternoon. So, that’s it.”
Their replacement, Mother Sky, are a folk band who have such hits as The Land Beneath and Myth of the West.
Mother Sky are expected to play at 11am on the Other Stage.
