With interest rates rising for the 13th month in a row and the cost of living crisis continuing to bite, an increasing number of people up and down the country have found themselves turning to side ventures to boost their earnings.
In fact, a third (33.6 percent) of workers surveyed are considering freelancing alongside their day jobs, according to research from recruitment agency Aspire.
Terry Payne, Aspire’s global managing director, said: “With the way workers have seen their real-term earnings reduced over the last 12 to 18 months, it’s no wonder that so many people are looking to boost their income.”
However, he noted: “It’s encouraging to see so many people combining the skills and expertise they’ve developed in their careers with their own personal passions and hobbies. These so-called ‘multi-income earners’ have an opportunity to earn a living by doing something that’s of personal importance or interest to them.”
To top it off, some can earn as much as £2,631 extra a month by capitalising on their hobbies, and Spamzilla has pulled together five profitable side hustles now.
