Having headlined at Glastonbury Festival last Saturday and performed in Glasgow earlier this week, Guns N’ Roses took to the stage at BST Hyde Park this Friday night in London.
The Darkness and Pretenders performed earlier in the evening to support the American rock gods before Axl Rose, Slash and the gang took the stage around half past seven.
Yet after kicking off their colossal three-hour set with Appetite for Destruction’s second track, It’s So Easy, the frontman had an unexpected tumble on stage.
Captured on film by Express.co.uk, Slash was playing through Use Your Illusion’s Bad Obsession when Axl took his cue for the next set of lyrics.
However, amid his energetic enthusiasm, the 61-year-old walked backwards a little too quickly without looking where he was going and fell over backwards.
Nevertheless, Axl very quickly recovered, immediately being back on his feet to continue with Bad Obsession.
Addressing the crowd after the song, the Guns N’ Roses singer joked: “I don’t want to jinx it, but hopefully I’ve got all the slip and sliding out of the way.”
As light drizzle fell on the audience throughout, he also pointed out how slippery the stage could get but managed to stay on his feet for the rest of the show.
