Marissa Da’Nae is defending herself and protecting her peace after revealing her and NLE Choppa’s son’s name during her baby shower this past weekend. As The Shade Room previously reported, Da’Nae revealed that she was expecting a child with the rapper in April.

Marissa Da’Nae Shows Off Her Maternity Photos
Over the weekend, Da’Nae took to Instagram to share her maternity photos with followers. In the photos, she posed alongside an elephant while standing bare chest in the water. Among the photos was another where the elephant cradled her baby bump with its trunk.
In the caption of the photos, Da’Nae shared that she is “forever thankful.” Additionally, she explained why she chose to capture her maternity photos alongside an elephant.

Before I started my journey, I saw elephants. I saw elephants overseas. That was a sign from God that my journey for my lil one was approaching. Every elephant has been goodluck to us and motivation to keep going…”
She continued by explaining that the elephant “symbolized everything going well” in her pregnancy. Then, she ended her post by sharing her gratitude.
“Thank you God for you grace and your love. I adore and thankful your blessings. Thank you for my son who will be here so soon. Thank you for sending all the elephants from around the world the comfort and signs we need that you got us and everything is okay.”
The next day, Da’Nae returned to Instagram to share a few words ahead of her baby shower.
“Tomorrow we celebrate my biggest blessing tomorrow 🐘 There’s nothing in this world I wouldn’t do for you my love. You’re making all of my dreams come true…”
Da’Nae explained that she would “go thru it all again” because her unborn son is her “everything.”
“I just can’t wait to hold you and love on you. I hope you feel amazing energy tomorrow son. 🐘🫶🏼”
The Mother To Be Reveals Her & NLE Choppa’s Son’s Name During Baby Shower
The following day, the expecting mother returned to her Instagram Story to share videos of her baby shower. The event was held at an undisclosed venue and featured photos from Da’Nae’s maternity shoot.
Additionally, the event also featured signage with the baby boy’s name.

The baby’s name was also confirmed in a repost that Da’Nae shared on her Instagram which read, “Baby Chozen otw.”
Furthermore, Da’Nae rocked a crystal-studded gown at the event. In her Instagram Story, she appeared to thank a friend for putting together the “special and beautiful” event on her behalf.
However, amid the event, Da’Nae also took the time to hop on Twitter to address those who questioned the absence of her son’s father, rapper NLE Choppa.

Marissa Da’Nae Addresses The Critics
Since the baby shower, Da’Nae has returned to social media to address critics. On Monday, she shared a brief message.

Then she explained that the public enjoys “picking” on her. Additionally, she defended her unborn son’s name and the theme of her maternity shoot.
