To attend Wimbledon with her husband, Princess Beatrice donned a new Emilia Wickstead dress, the Marione design in pale pink, which used to retail for £1,545 but is now on sale on the designer’s website for £615.
Emilia Wickstead explained that this classic shirt dress “cleverly combines sharp tailoring and soft feminine detailing”.
The designer described the feminine gown saying: “Cut from a lightweight quality of flanella in a soft pink hue, this long sleeve fit-and-flare dress features inserted godets through the skirt that add fullness and movement.”
The chic gown can be worn “with flats for an elevated day look” or “transformed with heels for the evening,” the website recommended.
The royal accessorised the stylish outfit with the Roger Vivier Broche Buckle Crochet Clutch in Raffia, which costs £1,320.
The fabulous clutch bag, with a crystal buckle, is inspired “by the beautiful gardens of the Château de Versailles”. The Broche Vivier showcases the same “exquisite symmetry with its detailed crystal buckle”.
“This elegant buckle appears on a crochet raffia clutch that is perfect for summertime soirées,” the designer explained.
Royal fans took to social media to discuss Beatrice’s style and were divided over the colour of the dress.
Instagram user @tasmiahpritha said: “Post marriage Beatrice has become a fashionista!”
@styledbybklyn commented: “Love this colour and style on her!” and others opined she looked “gorgeous” in the “pretty “dress for the Wimbledon match.
Twiter user @JessfromW commented: “She looks wonderful! Edo is just a fashionista am sure of it.”
Another one, @gatorgrad03, added: “Love this look. She looks amazing.”
Others opined that it was a bit of a “lifeless colour”. On social media, @schnellaschnyder commented: “The colour let her look pale and the collar looks huge. This time, unfortunately, it’s a no.”
Royal watcher @ai_shaim_ran opined: “This dress doesn’t really seem to fit, the sleeves are too long.
“She is looking gorgeous though!” and @fashion_visual_reference suggested: “The sleeves need fitting!”
