Vanessa Carlton looks worlds away from how fans may remember her in 2002 when she found fame for releasing her iconic song, A Thousand Miles.
The pop star, who is now 42 years old, is best known for the track, which topped the charts when it was released in the early Noughties.
She has since swapped her 2000s glam for a rustic look, regularly sporting wide-brim hats, makeup-free days and giving her 100,000 Instagram followers handy gardening tips that they can put into good use.
Vanessa was just 21 when she released A Thousand Miles and went on to have a very successful career in the music industry.
The track went on to receive worldwide success, reaching number one in Australia, number three in Ireland, and number five in the US.
The popular tune was even used in a scene of the comedy film White Chicks – which premiered in 2004.
After the success of her debut album, Vanessa kept her winning streak up with many more hit tracks, including Be Not Nobody, Harmonium, Heroes & Thieves, Rabbits on the Run, Liberman and Love is an Art.
The American star came out as bisexual while headlining Nashville Pride in June 2010.
During her time on stage, the star told the audience: “I’ve never said this before, but I am a proud bisexual woman.”
After revealing she was expecting her first child with then-fiancé John McCauley three years later, Vanessa sadly had an ectopic pregnancy.
The star, who has Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, previously explained falling pregnant was a shock because of her condition.
Speaking about her experience, Vanessa previously said: “I was very in tune with what was going on and I really wanted to track it as if I was a high-risk pregnancy.
“Even though I knew something was funny, the doctor couldn’t tell me it was an ectopic [pregnancy] until I was further along.
“That’s one of the tricky and frustrating things about it,” before adding: “I’m a very private person but this is, for a lot of women, it’s very personal.”
