EDF Energy is giving customers up to £1,500 worth of savings on heating bills as part of a new switching deal.
The energy supplier is slashing the cost of its heat pumps this month in a bid to encourage customers to transition their properties entirely away from gas, with big savings up for grabs for those who switch.
EDF says its bespoke new heat pump system is now available from £3,500 in a limited time offer for the first 100 customers. It means that customers will save £1,000 if they purchase the pump before November 24.
Customers will also make at least £1,500 in additional savings with EDF’s Heat Pump and Power Tracker tariff, which includes a free seven-year warranty, servicing and maintenance, plus ‘free electricity’ throughout the entirety of December 2025.
The three-year tariff also offers six hours of discounted zero carbon electricity every day, all year round, saving customers at least £164 against Standard Variable prices.
The tariff will offer two off-peak windows from 4am to 7am and 1pm to 4pm meaning customers who shift their household energy consumption could save even more on bills, without the worry of any premium peak rates. Customers also won’t have to worry about exit fees or tie-ins, EDF says.
Philippe Commaret, Managing Director of Customers at EDF, said: “We know that many households are eager to transition away from using gas as a fuel in their homes, but cost can be a significant barrier. That’s why, in partnership with Ideal Heating, we’re pleased to be launching a substantial discount on new heat pumps this autumn, making this greener option more affordable for customers.”
To be eligible for the £1,000 discount, new or existing customers need to sign up to buy an Ideal Heating heat pump before November 24, 2024. The discount is only available to the first 100 eligible customers and you must be aged 18 or over and live in Great Britain to apply.
To be eligible for the Heat Pump and Power Tracker tariff, you’ll need:
-
