Chandra Reid has served as a commissioner at the San Diego County Superior Court since 2021.
Before that, Reid was prosecutor in the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office from 2005 to 2021.
And from 2001 to 2004, she was a deputy city attorney in the San Diego City Attorney’s Office.
Reid earned her law degree from Catholic University Law School.
Reid will take the judicial seat vacated by the retirement of Judge Kenneth Medel. She is a Democrat.
Superior court judges in California receive a salary of about $245,000 a year.
