When you think of Liam Gallagher, humility isn’t the first trait that comes to mind.
As the lead singer of the legendary rock band Oasis, Gallagher once boldly declared: “We’re the best band on the planet with the best songs” during an MTV interview
In 2017, Liam Gallagher famously dubbed himself the “last living rockstar,” but when reflecting on Oasis in a 2020 interview, he surprised many by taking a more modest approach.
Liam Gallagher told Mojo in 2020: “We were alright.”
“We were better than a lot of s*** out there but we weren’t pushing the boundaries, we weren’t Pink Floyd or The Beatles.”
“We didn’t make really great records.
“We were just a good band.”
He also said about some of the songs that “some of it hadn’t aged well”.
Known for his outspoken nature, Liam has often made headlines for his public feuds, especially with Noel Gallagher, his brother and bandmate.
Their highly anticipated Oasis Live ’25 Tour is set for this summer. It will mark the band’s first live performances since the brothers parted ways in 2009.
Oasis will perform at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium and Manchester’s Heaton Park in July, with additional dates at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 25–26, 30, August 2–3, and September 27–28.
The world tour is due to end on November 23 at the Estádio do Morumbi in São Paulo, Brazil.
The tour was officially announced in August of last year, just two days before the 30th anniversary of their iconic debut album Definitely Maybe.
Some of the band’s most famous and iconic songs include Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back in Anger, Champagne Supernova, and Live Forever.
