Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman fatally hit by a car while crossing the street in El Cajon earlier this year.
Investigators released a forensic sketch artist’s rendition of the woman and photos of the clothes she was wearing when she was struck by a car around 10:20 p.m. Sept. 22 near the intersection of Cuyamaca Street and Weld Boulevard, the county Medical Examiner’s Office said Friday.
The driver of the 2016 Toyota Tacoma stopped immediately following the crash and cooperated with the investigation, El Cajon police said.
There was no indication that drugs or alcohol played any role in the crash.
The unidentified Black woman was approximately 40 to 50 years old, 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighed 110 pounds. She was described as having brown eyes, and short, curly hair that was gray and black.
She did not have identification with her when she died, and investigators are unable to identify her with fingerprints, officials said.
Investigators asked anyone with information about the woman to contact the Medical Examiner’s Office at (858) 694-2905 and reference Case No. 2023-03094.
