Like many people, I’ve always been a little sceptical about the trustworthiness of psychic mediums. But when I was offered the chance to speak to one last week, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.
Tracy Higgs – or TJ Higgs – is the author of Sunday Times Bestseller Living With the Gift. On her website, she describes herself as a “natural born psychic medium”, someone who can connect to the souls of both the living and the deceased.
Back in 2006, TJ filmed a series with fellow mediums Tony Stockwell and Colin Fry called Psychic Private Eyes, where the trio solved baffling murder mysteries using their unique psychic gifts.
I met TJ on Zoom and she instantly put me at ease, she was totally warm and welcoming. I couldn’t help but admit to her I was feeling a little nervous – what if she told me I was going to have a miserable life?
But when TJ explained that she would just be connecting with the spirit of Anna – and spirit Anna isn’t going to tell earthly Anna anything she can’t handle – I felt a lot better.
I wasn’t totally convinced by TJ’s claims but I decided to open my mind to what she had to say, leaning back in my chair as she connected to ‘Spirit Anna’.
TJ started off by saying I have a beautiful, sparkly energy which converted me a little – who am I to argue with that?
She didn’t know my last name or the publication I write for, but she told me I am a natural writer who was born to tell stories, which was a really lovely thing to hear.
According to TJ, January 2024 will mark a big change in my career and I’ve got lots of exciting opportunities coming my way.
Whoever I end up writing for, inevitably she sees me capturing meaningful stories that take a deep dive into the true human experience. For me this is the most important part of journalism, so I hope she’s right.
Moving onto my romantic life, TJ proceeded to tell me all about this amazing man. According to the medium, this guy is smart, a bit geeky – but in a sweet way – and tall and handsome – thank goodness! We met at a work event and he’s always making me cups of coffee. He sounds great, but I have literally never met this man in my life.
I told TJ this and she couldn’t believe it. She was convinced I was in a relationship with this guy.
Apparently, this dude’s energy is really near mine so I either already know him or I’m going to meet him at some sort of work event before my birthday in April 2024. TJ instructed me to keep an eye out for someone that looks like Clark Kent and I’m not mad about that at all.
I definitely believe TJ has a gift and some of the things she said were totally spot on – I won’t share them here but take my word for it – and I came away from the call feeling all fuzzy and hopeful. The way I see it, if something brings you comfort, whether it’s astrology, manifestation or the odd Zoom call with a psychic – and it’s not hurting anyone – just go for it.
In the last part of the call, I asked for TJ’s advice on something I was a little worried about. In December my cousin and I are planning a little trip for just a few weeks. At first, we decided we’d visit Chile, then our minds changed to Argentina, then Colombia, until a bunch of beautiful countries were thrown into the mix which made my easily overwhelmed brain very anxious.
I asked TJ to give me some clarity on where I should go and the wise medium smiled as she told me she really sees me in Japan. As soon as she told me this I felt excited, hopeful and free from any stress, which is very rare for me.
I felt a little ridiculous calling my cousin to let her know we had to go to Japan because a psychic told me to … but now we’re both buzzing about our trip. If it’s the enchanting, exhilarating experience TJ promised, it’s all thanks to the medium.
