A middle-aged beauty influencer who frequently gets mistaken for being in her 20s has shared her best-kept secret to “glowing skin”.
Content creator Annamaria Kalebic claims that she’s managed to keep her face wrinkle-free thanks to one product that locks moisture into the epidermis.
The 52-year-old has become somewhat of a poignant figure on the beauty scene of TikTok thanks to her exceptionally young looks.
“I get asked a lot about my skincare routine because I’m 52 years old,” Annamaria declared in a recent clip. “Even though I don’t think my skin is that special, I do look after it and I try to keep it […] well hydrated and looking its best.”
The beauty guru explained that she uses beauty products interchangeably to determine what works best for her.

This has helped her whittle a large number of beauty products down to her very favourite, which include the Ordinary’s Squalane Cleanser, available at Boots for just £8.
In a ‘Get Ready With Me’ style clip, the influencer explained: “I’m starting with my favourite cream to oil cleanser.
“It says even on there that this is a make-up remover and cleanser and I would use this as my first cleanse.”
She continued: “It goes on like a cream, you rub your hands together and it turns it into an oil. It’s really good at dislodging your make-up.
“I honestly don’t believe you need to spend a lot on cleanser. At the end of the day, it’s taking your make-up off and you’re washing it away – it’s not going to sit on your skin.”
The beauty influencer reassured her viewers that the price tag does not indicate low-quality ingredients. Squalane skin cleansers have enjoyed immense popularity in recent years thanks to their unique benefits.
The compound is natural and derived from plants, and is primarily known for its exceptional moisturising benefits. Squalane is also non-comedogenic which makes it suitable for different skin types, sensitive and oily skin included.
As the influencer mentioned in her video, it is hugely helpful for locking moisture into the skin, which has a glow-promoting effect in the long run.
Cleveland Clinic Health Essential explain that the oil naturally found in animals, but we produce less as we age. Dermatologist Alok Vij, MD, notes: “You can use it on your face to help seal in cosmetic products like light serums or toners that you’re using.”
