Three people were injured, one critically, in a rollover crash involving a pickup in La Jolla early Wednesday, San Diego police said.
The 19-year-old driver of the truck took off running after the crash, police said.
The teen was heading west on Nautilus Street near Avenida Andora in a 2005 Nissan Frontier around 12:40 a.m. when he swerved and lost control, causing the truck to roll several times, police Officer David O’Brien said.
Two rear passengers were ejected from the truck. Three people were transported by ambulance to a hospital, O’Brien said.
Two passengers suffered minor injuries and a third passenger sustained serious life-threatening injuries, he said. No additional details were immediately released.
