Devising the perfect Daily Fantasy Sports strategy for the NFL can be a challenge, which is why I’m here weekly to assist.
On DraftKings, it’s important to remember you’re playing full-point PPR with bonuses if a player surpasses 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards or 100 receiving yards.
Here is my optimal lineup for Sunday’s $3 million Fantasy Football Millionaire contest, but it can be utilized as a foundation in other games and platforms.
All prices listed are courtesy of DraftKings with a $50,000 budget.
These lineups have netted $175, so that leaves me $30 in the hole with an average score of 143.64 points through 11 weeks.
Year-To-Date Results
Week 1: 170.52 points
Week 2: 141.30 points
Week 3: 130.78 points
Week 4: 152.50 points
Week 5: 162.32 points
Week 6: 146.56 points
Week 7: 156.78 points
Week 8: 139.86 points
Week 9: 97.54 points
Week 10: 129.98 points
Week 11: 151.90 points
QB: Josh Allen, Bills ($8,100)
The Eagles are one of four teams who allowing an average of at least 20 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. Allen is averaging 24.6 points on DraftKings this season and has scored at least 22.3 DK points in eight of 11 games.
RB: Derrick Henry, Titans ($6,400)
Tennessee is a 3.5 point favorite at home against the Panthers on Sunday, and in the Titans’ three wins this season, Henry has 303 rushing yards on 69 carries and two touchdowns. He’s had at least 22 carries for 80 yards in every victory and Carolina has allowed the second-most fantasy points to running backs this season.
RB: Rachaad White, Buccaneers ($6,100)
White is averaging 96.1 total yards and a TD on 19.3 touches per game since Week 8. The Colts are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to running backs this season.
WR: Stefon Diggs, Bills ($8,800)
The Eagles have allowed the most fantasy points to wide receivers through 11 weeks and Diggs is coming off his two worst games of the season. I imagine the fourth-best receiver in PPR is chomping at the bit — only Tyreek Hill, Keenan Allen and CeeDee Lamb have more points.
WR: Josh Downs, Colts ($4,800)
The combination of a flare up from a knee injury he suffered in spring workouts and a bye week has dampened excitement surrounding Downs’ impressive rookie season. His knee should be feeling better, and he could pick up where he left off. In the six games before the flare up in Week 9, Downs was the overall WR14 in PPR. Plus, the Buccaneers have allowed the most DraftKings points per game (35.3) to slot wide receivers since Week 8.
WR: Greg Dortch, Cardinals ($3,300)
Michael Wilson (shoulder) will remain out for a second straight game, and Marquise Brown (heel) is uncertain. With Wilson sidelined last week, Dortch played the second-most offensive snaps at receiver for Arizona, ran the third-most routes (31) and led the team in targets (eight), receptions (six) and receiving yards (76). In the last two seasons, Dortch has at least six receptions or a TD in seven of the nine games he’s played at least 50 percent of the offensive snaps.
TE: David Njoku, Browns ($4,100)
Four players have double-digit targets with Dorian Thompson-Robinson under center for Cleveland: Njoku (23), Amari Cooper (14), Jerome Ford (11) and Elijah Moore (11). Njoku has at least five receptions, 54 yards or a TD in five straight games and Cooper will likely be blanketed by the Broncos top cover corner Patrick Surtain. Also, Denver’s top safety in coverage, Kareem Jackson, is out Sunday due to suspension.
FLEX: Gabe Davis, Bills ($5,300)
Davis has become the quintessential boom-or-bust player in fantasy. Earlier this season, he had a TD in four straight games. Two of the last three games, he’s been held without a reception and didn’t even see a target last week. The good news is opponents of the Eagles have produced two top-12 wideouts three times. Building your lineup around a Buffalo double-stack almost makes too much sense this week.
DST: Kansas City Chiefs ($3,100)
According to Pro-Football-Reference, the Chiefs have allowed the fifth-fewest yards per play (4.7), forced 14 turnovers, produced the highest pressure rate (29 percent) and the third-most sacks (36) this season. They’re the fourth-highest scoring defense in fantasy since Week 6, but for some reason, they’re being priced outside the Top-10 against the Raiders.
