The crash was reported on north Interstate 805 north of Beyer Boulevard around 5:45 a.m. and involved three vehicles, including one driven by a suspected intoxicated driver, California Highway Patrol Officer Mark Latulippe said.

The freeway was closed for nearly three hours as the crash was investigated and vehicles were cleared away, Latulippe said. Lanes were reopened shortly before 9 a.m.
