A woman said her neighbours caused her trouble before she even moved into her home
A furious woman got revenge and cost her neighbours over £3,000 after they decided to use her home as their own personal parking lot and swimming pool.
The woman took to Reddit’s ‘Petty Revenge’ forum to explain she had to repeatedly report her neighbours before she even moved into her brand new home as they kept parking four cars in her driveway.
In the Reddit post, she explained that she bought her first-ever home which had been sitting abandoned for 8 months, and was paying to have work done to it before she officially moved in.
However, one day the woman was surprised to get a call from her contractor while at work who informed her there were a series of cars parked in her driveway.
The woman wrote: “One morning I got a call from my contractor, asking me about moving the cars in the driveway, and of course, I had no idea what he was talking about. I hadn’t moved in yet.”

The woman tried to compromise with her neighbours but eventually phoned a tow truck
The woman had to leave work and travel 30 minutes to investigate, only to discover four of her neighbours’ cars that refused to move. According to the neighbours, they had permission from the previous homeowner.
She wrote: “I informed them that I was the new owner and they can’t park there any longer.
“We went back and forth, and with the intention of being a good neighbour and trying to show some goodwill, I agreed to allow them to park there for a few more weeks until I moved in; with the agreement that they would move them by 6am every morning.”
However, the neighbours did not follow the agreement and the contractor was forced to continue to call the woman saying they were unable to continue working on her home as they could not find anywhere to park, so the woman went to investigate.
The homeowner wrote: “When I arrived, there were four cars in the driveway, and nowhere to park. (the only on-street parking is two blocks away.)
“I called them and asked them to move their vehicles- reminding them of our agreement. After 20 minutes, they finally came out and moved them.”

The woman said her male neighbour tried to ‘confront’ her when she told them to move their cars
The very next day the woman went to move some furniture into her home and found the neighbours’ cars continuing to block her driveway.
Fed up, the woman phoned a tow company and then called her neighbours to inform them they had until the tow truck arrived to move their cars.
The woman wrote: “45 minutes later, two tow trucks showed up, backed in and hooked up to the cars. All of a sudden, the neighbours were home.
“They ran out to stop their cars from being towed, and it ended up costing them a little over $300 to get them unhooked.”
After that, the furious woman asked her contractor to put up a gate and informed the neighbours they could no longer use her home.

The following week, the woman once again received a phone call informing her that four cars were blocking her driveway, only this time the call came from the person installing her brand-new gate.
The woman travelled back to the home and knocked on her neighbours’ door to inform them that a tow truck had been called. She wrote: “The neighbour’s husband came out to confront me, and I opted to just call the [police], and deal with it legally.”
When she was finally able to move into her home, the woman still had to deal with her exploitative neighbours as she discovered that they were no longer using her driveway but had moved on to hosting a pool party in her garden with their children.
The woman wrote: “The neighbours were in my pool. They were hanging out and using my furniture. When I opened the door and began raising hell, they told the kids to go to the house and the children ran to a corner of our fence and just walked through.
“They had cut out the privacy fence so it could be removed and had been using the pool at their leisure for who knows how long.”
The woman took her neighbours to small claims court after she discovered they broke her fence
The woman called the police and the husband was arrested for trespassing and she eventually took them to small claims court over ruining her fence.
She wrote: “Small claims awarded me the total cost of 83′ of 8′ privacy fence, which came out to £3,800.
“I haven’t been paid yet, but I did notice a For Rent sign in their yard this morning, so that’s just as good. Good riddance!”
In the Reddit comment section, people were amazed at the woman’s patience when dealing with such rowdy neighbours.
One popular comment said: “How ridiculous. The level of entitlement some people have is astounding in all the worst ways.”
Another user wrote: “You dodged the worst neighbours ever. At first, I thought they were inconsiderate, but now I’m convinced they are just trashy.”
Someone else commented: “The driveway is one thing, and still annoying and wrong of them. But to come into your yard and use your furniture and pool? What made them think that was okay?”
