
Two juveniles were struck in a hit-and-run in San Marcos Monday evening, sending both to the hospital with serious injuries, sheriff’s officials said.
The crash occurred around 7:15 p.m. on Grand Avenue near Linda Vista Drive, Traffic Investigator Juan Soto-Rodriguez said.
Deputies arrived at the scene and found the juveniles lying in the roadway. Investigators later learned the pair had been riding the bike west on Grand when they were struck by the car.
The two were taken to a hospital with injuries believed to be not life-threatening.
The vehicle and driver fled the scene before deputies arrived.
