There are plenty of conspiracy theories around Elvis Presley’s death, with the upcoming movie Chronicles of the King: The Search for Sasquatch imaging the star faked his passing to hunt Bigfoot.
If that wasn’t enough, the first trailer for another film called Sasquatch Sunset has arrived, with Elvis’ granddaughter Riley Keough starring as a female Bigfoot.
The 34-year-old eldest daughter of Lisa Marie Presley and co-heir to Graceland is unrecognisable in her prosthetics alongside Jesse Eisenberg and Christophe Zajac-Denek.
Shot in 2022, the movie had its world premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival last month and features no dialogue; just grunts.
The film’s official synopsis reads: “In the misty forests of North America, a family of Sasquatches—possibly the last of their enigmatic kind— embark on an absurdist, epic, hilarious, and ultimately poignant journey over the course of one year. These shaggy and noble giants fight for survival as they find themselves on a collision course with the ever-changing world around them. Starring Riley Keough and Jesse Eisenberg, acclaimed directors David and Nathan Zellner (Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter) bring you the greatest Bigfoot story ever told.”
Sasquatch Sunset is released in US cinemas on April 12 with a UK release TBC.
