Princess Kate and Prince William are two of the most famous members of the Royal Family and also among the most active.
Known to step out both together and separately for public engagements almost every week, the Wales’s are a significant force in the family for their current status and future roles.
While their regal titles alone incite the importance of the couple as the direct heirs to the throne, a body language expert has explained that their behaviour in public speaks volumes about how they will operate in place of King Charles and Queen Camilla – especially Kate, who was not born into the royal bloodline.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Judi James said: “The best way to evaluate Kate as a person and as a future queen currently is to watch her body language and signals of charisma at solo events.
“From being a rather passive presence for many years she is now a force of nature, taking an active and very energetic approach to her royal visits, signalling inner confidence and external enthusiasm.”

The expert claimed that without William there to “encourage and relate to”, the Princess of Wales appears to be “more spontaneous, animated and expressive” as her focus is totally on the people she is meeting.
Judi continued: “Kate joins in where possible with what looks like a lack of inhibition or wariness when the action might move out of her control, as it can tend to when she is meeting small children, and overall she manages to create an impression of calm energy.
“As a Queen this active presence might even increase and it will be relatively unique. Kate looks as though she will be a great motivator and energiser as queen rather than a queen who visits, views and smiles like the late queen, or a queen who stands back and keeps out of the action, like Camilla.”
While William’s position in the British Royal Family comes more naturally to him as a blood relative of Charles, the Prince of Wales is still on his own journey as he prepares to step up to the role of King.
Judi suggested: “William’s height and build give him a naturally regal presence so his rather bashful look and some of his self-effacing rituals, combined with a clear desire to show empathy and concern all seem to imply a king who will take time to listen and even coach.
“And, like Kate, to encourage the idea of a rather more immersive royal presence than previous royals, apart from Diana, might have been known for.
“But as two royal powerhouses in their own rights, William and Kate still team well when they work as a double-act. Both will modify their style subtly to pair off seamlessly but they are also complementary in terms of the Princess of Wales’s calm but firm confidence and William’s more bashful appeal.
“They mirror each other constantly and they seem totally synchronised, as though the differences in their personalities are a sign of strength rather than a flaw.”
Though it is hard to compare Kate and William to Charles and Camilla, both in age and status, there are some notable differences between the female royals.
Having both married into the Royal Family, the Princess of Wales and Camilla have had to step up to the mark of fulfilling their duties as working members. Judi claimed: “While Kate sets about her royal duties with confidence and energy, Camilla still looks nervous and rather ill-at-ease currently, despite now having the top job.
“She tends to behave as though convinced it’s her husband the crowds have come to see and her habit of standing back and allowing him room to perform and take the spotlight can make her look more like one of his team rather than his Queen.
“While Kate will be using emphatic and enthusiastic hand gestures Camilla is often seen with her hands behind her back, with one hand clasping a finger of the other.
“The pose and the gesture would send out very passive signals, hinting at someone who will be called forward to join in rather than someone asking to get stuck in, like Kate.”
