Daniel Craig finally left the role of James Bond behind after starring in five films over 15 years – but who is going to take over from him?
The chances are that Bond bosses Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson will not give an official update for another year or so. Until then, the Bond odds are the best way of figuring out where fan-favourite hopefuls sit in the running.
A new update to the Bond odds over the weekend has left some of the UK’s favourite actors in the dust as three massive names steam ahead in the race – and that means one of the biggest names in the race, Tom Hardy, has lost his edge in the race.
Sitting at third place in the Bond odds from Ladbrokes is Henry Cavill, who has a staggering 3/1 on becoming the new-and-improved Bond, James Bond.
The British hunk previously auditioned to play Bond back in 2005, but lost out to Craig – so this could well be his redemption arc.

Although, he has previously shrugged off rumours about him becoming the next hero, so perhaps he simply doesn’t want it?
Meanwhile, slightly ahead of him is James Norton, who recently saw an explosion in fame thanks to his role in the BBC show Happy Valley.
Norton has an extraordinary 5/2 in the running to become the new 007, placing him in second place in the overall Ladbrokes odds.
Neither Cavill nor Norton can take down the leader of the pack at the moment, however.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson is currently at the top of the Bond odds with an incredible 15/8, making him the frontrunner of this three-horse race to become the next James Bond.
Taylor-Johnson is of course best known for appearing in the Marvel series as the former Avenger Quicksilver. However, he also starred as the titular superhero in the Kick-Ass movies, and the recently released Brad Pitt movie Bullet Train.
Furthermore, recent rumours suggested Taylor-Johnson has had some screen tests behind the scenes, so his journey into the 007 tuxedo may be shorter than fans anticipate.
