Cyndi Lauper is making a comeback. Just a few weeks ago the official line-up for Glastonbury Festival 2024 was announced, placing her on the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm this year.
However, the American star couldn’t visit the UK without playing her own show, as well.
The Girls Just Want To Have Fun singer has just confirmed she will also be playing at London’s Royal Albert Hall on June 26, 2024.
This one-off show will be the first time she has played in the capital for eight years, and will no doubt mark a special occasion for the 70-year-old icon.
Speaking about making her comeback to the country’s most prestigious music venue, Cyndi said: “I haven’t played at the Royal Albert Hall since 1995, when I was there for my 12 Deadly Cyns tour, I was dressed like a Queen surrounded by Queens singing Hey Now Girls Just Wanna Have Fun in all my glory!
“I had a blast. And not only is the Royal Albert Hall one of the most important music venues but over 20 Suffragette rallies were held there! That makes it great for me.”
