Princess Anne, 72, re-wore a beautiful three-quarter emerald dress today at Royal Ascot.
It’s not the first time the Princess Royal has stepped out in this striking outfit as she wore it to Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding in 2018.
The emerald green dress looked gorgeous on Anne with its three-quarter sleeves and high collar.
The Princess Royal accessorised with a three-strand pearl necklace and a wide-brimmed cream hat.
Today was not the first time Anne has re-worn a dress from a previous occasion at Royal Ascot.
On Wednesday, Anne stepped out wearing a blue knee-length dress with capped sleeves and a school-girl collar which she was seen wearing as a teenager in the 1970s.
Royal fans were so impressed with Anne re-wearing such an iconic outfit.
Instagram user @rmsgreeneyedlady wrote: “I love that it’s from the 1970s. In my opinion she’s the only person in the family who truly lives the sustainable ideas, at least fashion-wise.”
Royal fan @aleksandramgowin added: “How crazy is that she often re-wears outfits that are 50 years old – AMAZING.”
@wizard_of_zzz commented: “I could barely fit into my shirt from last year! Kudos for her classic, timeless style and for the ability to stay in shape for over decades.”
@watching.royalty added: “Oh goodness me! This is fabulous, and good job you guys, finding this out! Incredible.”
@shelby_c_rogers said: “Good for Anne! Classic styling and quality clothing really can last decades. And it fits!
“I like the two-tone hat with this dress but I think I’d like it more without the jacket or gloves and maybe footwear that matches the hat? Or a top-handled handbag?”
@bekarie said: “No one does sustainable fashion quite like Charles and Anne.”
@mrsashleyldavis wrote: “I hope to be able to re-wear my clothes from 50 years ago when I’m her age! Wow!”
@maroo2003 commented: “It is astonishing that it fits her after all these years. But I must admit I respect the recycling of her wardrobe.”
