A 34-year-old man has been arrested in the 2021 shooting death of a 59-year-old man in the Mountain View neighborhood, San Diego police said Tuesday.
Rashad Ware was located on 17th and K streets in the East Village Saturday and arrested on suspicion of murder, according to homicide Lt. Jud Campbell.
On Oct. 19, 2021, police received a report of a shooting in the area of 37th Street and Ocean View Boulevard in the Mountain View neighborhood, Campbell said.
Arriving officers found Rahman Thomas on the sidewalk suffering from at least one gunshot wound, the lieutenant said. He died at a hospital.
Ware’s arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday. He was being held in jail without bail.
