However, the date of the closure has yet to be confirmed by Asda.
Asda has recognised the impact the two closures will have on its staff.
However, the retailer is in conversation with those impacted to “support this process”.
The spokesperson shared that it will do all it can to find them alternative roles within other local stores.
According to Birmingham Live, 20 jobs are under threat following the announcement of the Wrexham branch closure.
An Asda spokesperson told Express.co.uk: “Despite the best efforts of our hard-working colleagues, our Asda Living store in Wrexham has been running at a loss for a number of years so unfortunately following a period of consultation we have decided to close the store.
“We recognise this will be a difficult time for colleagues at the store and we are in discussions with all of them to support them through this process, we will do all we can to find alternate roles in other local stores.”
