Bob Lee’s Alleged Killer To Plead Not Guilty When He’s Due Back In Court Later This Week
The Shade Room previously reported that IT entrepreneur Nima Momeni, 38, was charged with Lee’s murder.
Momeni is the older brother of Khazar “Tina” Momeni, who reportedly had a close friendship with Lee.
Nima was supposed to be arraigned already. However, his lawyers had moved for an extension and got one.
His attorneys said he would plead not guilty when the time comes but added they have yet to see the state’s evidence against their client.
Momeni is due back in court this week, the outlet reports.
His attorney, Paula Canny, argued she’s not convinced by the surveillance footage she’s seen thus far after viewing the footage at Momeni’s most recent court appearance last week.
“He’s gonna plead not guilty, and he’s gonna deny the special allegation and absolutely the plea will be not guilty,” Canny said, according to the Daily Mail. “I don’t think you can see anything in the videos.”

Prosecutors Claim CCTV Footage Shows Momeni Stabbing Bob Lee, However Video Is Dark And Hard To See
While prosecutors claim the footage shows Momeni stabbing Lee in his BMW, they concede the footage is dark and difficult to discern.
Tina, Momeni’s sister, had reportedly become romantically entangled with Lee while married to plastic surgeon Dino Elyassnia.
But a friend of Lee’s told police that the marriage seemed to be in trouble, though he did not know whether Lee and Khazar Momeni were having an intimate relationship.

One friend told The San Francisco Standard that Khazar had a drug problem.
“She was basically asking me to buy drugs with my money,” friend Samira Kuduzovi said.
Lee and Suspected Killer’s Sister Went To Known Drug House On Day Of His Murder
On the day of Lee’s murder, he and Khazar (Tina) stopped by the home of a man with a criminal record of drug dealing, according to police sources.
A court motion had claimed the three were “drinking” at the man’s home. However, it’s unclear if they bought any drugs from him. That man in question has not been publicly named.
Meanwhile, locals in San Francisco celebrated Momeni’s quick arrest and touted that the accused killer and victim knew each other.
They reportedly wanted to use the murder to downplay fears that Lee was another example of the random and widespread violence plaguing the city in recent months.
