A body was found after a mobile home caught fire in San Marcos on Tuesday, according to sheriff’s officials.
The fire was reported around 11:50 a.m. when residents in a mobile home park saw flames at one of the residences on East Barham Drive just south of state Route 78, Lt. Josh Stone said.
The body was found inside the home after firefighters extinguished the blaze, Stone said. No other injuries were reported.
Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office bomb/arson unit were called to the scene.
The cause of the fire and the person’s death were under investigation, Stone said. The person’s identity was not released.
No other details were immediately available on Tuesday.
