Boosie recently took a moment to share advice with his young fans, and the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, legend is imploring them never to turn to the streets.
After all, as survival is the “only thing that matters,” he’s letting people know that the lifestyle is not worth the trouble.
Boosie Gets Real About The Lifestyle: “S**t Don’t Even Be Worth It”
During a recent Instagram Live recorded and reshared by HipHopDX, Boosie began an impromptu lecture. Specifically, the “Wipe Me Down” rapper dissuaded his younger fans from embracing the “gangsta” life.
“Don’t never become no street n***a, though. Don’t never become no gangsta, bro.”
While explaining his rationale, Boosie described the danger of the lifestyle, as it’ll leave people steadily “lookin’ over [their] shoulder.” He also mentioned how this life leaves people “always” needing backup to “protect” themselves.
“Always gotta have n***as with you. Always gotta be trying to protect yourself. Lookin’ over your shoulder.”
He summed up the experience by proclaiming, “S**t don’t even be worth it, bro. You get older, you’ll be like, ‘D*mn, man.’ Real shit, bro.”
Before wrapping up his message, Boosie declared that “stay[ing] alive” is the “only thing that matters.”
“Gotta stay alive, though. That’s the only thing that matters…Gotta do whatever to stay alive.”

The Rapper Recently Reflected On His Journey To Being Cancer Free
This commentary comes on the heels of Boosie celebrating being cancer free, as The Shade Room reported.
Earlier this month, the 40-year-old star hopped on Instagram and acknowledged getting the results he prayed for.
He also noted that, as he was preparing to meet up with his past cancer surgeon in light of the news, he discovered that the doctor passed away a year prior.
As a result, Boosie took a moment to honor the late surgeon, Dr. Wood, and reflect on their journey and his hurt over his passing.
“I REMEMBER U RUBBIN MY HEAD WHEN I WAS CRYIN BEFORE SURGERY N YOU ASK ME WHY I WAS CRYING N I TOLD U I WAS THINKING ABOUT ALL THE WRONG IVE DONE N MY LIFE.”
He added, “THANK U, DR.WOOD, FOR ALWAYS MAKING ME LAUGH WHEN I WAS DOWN. U WERE THE BEST.”
What are your thoughts on Boosie’s words of wisdom for his younger fans?
