
Thirty King-Chavez Community High School students learned about trade careers Thursday at AGC Apprenticeship & Training in Lakeside. The students from the school in downtown San Diego looked at careers in such fields as wood and steel stud framing, electrical and heavy equipment operation. The day presented students with a variety of well-paid job opportunities.

The event involved WorkforceConnect, Associated General Contractors Apprenticeship Training, BIA-San Diego, Helix Electric, Balfour-Beatty, I.E. Pacific, Sierra Pacific West, East County EDC, and Burnham Center for Community Advancement.
