Last year, Hugh Jackman thrilled fans by announcing that he was reprising Wolverine in Deadpool 3 with Ryan Reynolds.
Originally the Aussie star had killed off his X-Men character in Logan, but this time around, thanks to the Marvel multiverse, he’ll be playing a variant.
Little has been officially revealed about the upcoming MCU blockbuster, which has now been moved up for release to May 2024.
However, there are plenty of reports from reliable and respected leakers who have plenty of information to share.
In fact, MyTimeToShineHello was so impressed they tweeted: “Deadpool [3] is gonna make a billion at the box office next year. Just WOW.”

Meanwhile, CanWeGet SomeToast declared: “#Deadpool3 is basically the “No Way Home” of the Fox X-Men universe… We’re going to get a LOT of character justice in #Deadpool3.”
Marvel fans will know Spider-Man No Way Home brought Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parkers into the MCU alongside five of their universes’ villains. The result was almost $2 billion at the box office and the sixth highest-grossing movie of all time. And by the sounds of it, Deadpool 3 will indeed be doing the same with their Fox and Fantastic Four universes colliding with the MCU – something now possible now that Disney owns the rights.
CanWeGetSomeToast previously tweeted: “Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine won’t be the only X-Man returning in #Deadpool3! Halle Berry, Famke Janssen and James Marsden will also reprise their roles as their Storm, Jean Gray, and Cyclops respectively.”
On top of them, Sir Patrick Stewart (who returned as Professor X in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) told ET Online earlier this year: “We’re not done, Sir Ian and myself. We’re… we got plans.” According to MyTimeToShineHello he’s talking about Deadpool 3 and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Another reliable scooper Daniel RPK has previously shared a rumour late last year that Deadpool 3 will visit the original Fantastic Four played by Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Michael Chiklis and, yes, Chris Evans. The latter famously went on to play Captain America in the MCU, but that doesn’t mean he can’t reprise his Human Torch.
In fact, Giant Freakin Robot’s scooped that Evans has been in talks to reprise the role. This is certainly believable given that Reynolds almost tried to get him to cameo as Johnny Storm in Deadpool 2 when he was recruiting his X-Force team. The outlet also claims that Howard the Duck, Loki and Jonathan Majors’ Kang The Conqueror will be in Deadpool 3, alongside Anna Paquin’s Rogue.
As for Deadpool 3’s plot, MyTimeToShineHello has previously tweeted: “Deadpool 3 will be a direct follow-up to Deadpool 2. Wade, using Cable’s time machine will travel into the future to save Wolverine from dying. Logan does not know who that guy is and want[s] him gone but using a time machine and changing history will get them on the TVA’s radar.”
By the sounds of it, Loki and Miss Minutes could be involved in this time travelling multiverse adventure that finally brings Ryan Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth and Jackman’s Wolverine into the MCU.
Deadpool 3 hits cinemas on May 3, 2024.
