LEMON GROVE —
A 67-year-old driver who died after his minivan struck concrete debris on a Lemon Grove road and then slammed into a utility pole was identified by the Medical Examiner’s Office Tuesday.
Harold James Hooker of Lemon Grove was killed when the minivan he was driving crashed into the large piece of debris on Lemon Grove Avenue near Massachusetts Avenue around 5:35 p.m. Monday, investigators said.
His minivan overturned, headed down an embankment and slammed into a utility pole, investigators said. He was not wearing a seat belt.
Hooker died before he could be taken to a hospital.
No other details were immediately available.
