A motorcyclist died in a collision involving several vehicles in Chula Vista on Monday night, and Chula Vista police are looking for the driver of an SUV who left the scene.
The crash was reported around 8:30 p.m. on H Street between First Avenue and Hilltop Street and involved the motorcycle and three other vehicles, police said. The injured rider was thrown into the eastbound lane.
Two of the vehicles remained at the scene after the crash, but a third vehicle — a white SUV — left, police said.
The Chula Vista Fire Department responded and medics attempted lifesaving measures, but the motorcyclist died before he or she could be taken to a hospital. No other information about the rider who died was released.
