One royal fan said on Instagram: “How to ruin a beautiful dress with the wrong shoes and a blazer..[sad face emoji”, while another one wrote: “The dress is lovely. I actually wish she didn’t wear the blazer with it.”
A third one added: “I love this dress. She looks really nice. I would have preferred it more with a longer coat though.”
Another Instagram user suggested she should have worn a different blazer and shoes saying: “How to ruin a beautiful dress with the wrong shoes and a blazer..”, while another one added: “Nice, but with different shoes.”
Duchess Sophie is visiting Colombia at the request of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
On Tuesday, she met with the country’s first Afro-Colombian Vice President and environmental activist, Francia Márquez.
She then visited the Centre for Memory, Peace and Reconciliation where she spoke with women impacted by the armed conflict, including survivors of conflict-related sexual violence.
Later, the royal took part in a roundtable discussion along with women from the Colombian Armed Forces.
