From 1972-6, Elvis Presley’s main girlfriend was Miss Tennessee model Linda Thompson, who lived with the King at Graceland.
During this period, the press and fans regularly snapped the couple as they drove in and out of the Memphis mansion’s main gates.
And now Linda has unearthed a rare photo she had never seen before of her with Elvis.
The picture from a 1976 newspaper cutting shows the entourage sitting in the back of a car driven by the Memphis Mafia on their way to a concert in San Antonio.
Posting the snap alongside a ton of her own ones sat in a car with Elvis, Linda wrote a caption on her Instagram photo gallery.
The 74-year-old wrote: “Here’s a Throwback Thursday & a Flashback Friday! Wow, after all these years, someone sent this photo from a newspaper to my brother Sam. It’s a new photo to both of us… Never saw it before – even after all these years! So I decided to throw together some photos of Elvis and me together in cars…Sometimes going in or out of Graceland… Sometimes going to or from concerts. It was our dance… So long ago, but such rarified memories last a lifetime.”
