If you were among the thousands of fortunate fans who were able to attend this year’s Comic-Con, you will get an opportunity to return next year during a scheduled badge sale this Saturday.
While the morning online sale won’t be the only opportunity to purchase admission to the annual pop culture gathering, it will be exclusive to those who came to the July convention as a general attendee. Special groups like members of the media or professionals in the comic book industry would not be eligible for the Saturday sale.
The badge sale will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, but an online waiting room will open an hour earlier at 8 a.m. To enter the waiting room, visit the Member ID Portal between 8 and 9 a.m. Organizers of Comic-Con International advises purchasers to log in ahead of time to theirMember ID accounts and look for “Eligibility: Comic-Con 2024 Returning Registration” located under their names.
Not all eligible attendees will be able to snag a badge during the upcoming sale, as there are more eligible returning attendees than badges available, organizers advise. Returning attendees will be allowed to purchase badges for up to three people, including themselves, as long as they qualify as a “returning attendee.”
Pricing for daily admission for adults is $79, except for Wednesday’s preview night, which is $59, and Sunday, the closing day of the convention, which is $54. Next year’s Comic-Con will be held July 25-29. A badge for preview night, on July 24, can only be purchased if one buys admission for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Organizers caution that because the badge registration system is not formatted for iPads, tablets, or other mobile devices, it cannot guarantee that the purchasing process will behave as expected if one uses a mobile device.
