Home Alone is arguably one of the best-loved and best-known Christmas movies of all time, and this year fans of the Macaulay Culkin movie will be able to see it with a live orchestra for the first time.
Home Alone in Concert is hitting arenas around the UK this December to showcase John Williams’ exceptional score performed live with a full orchestra and choir.
Beginning in Manchester and Liverpool before ending in Nottingham and Birmingham, the Heritage Orchestra will perform the picture’s amazing score live on stage throughout the tour. This wonderful group of musicians have worked with some massive names in the past, including Becky Hill, Bjork, Jamie Cullum and Massive Attack.
Chris Wheeler, CEO and Artistic Director of The Heritage Orchestra, said: “We’re thrilled to be a part of this tour with AEG Artistic Presents. Home Alone is such an iconic film with a truly tremendous score, so to be bringing the music of one of the greatest composers ever to such huge venues is an honour. This is our very first film in concert tour, and we’re excited to add the genre of film music as a string to our multi-faceted bow.”
