San Diego police are looking for an assailant in an attack downtown that left one man dead, a second injured and a woman severely beaten late Saturday night, officials said.
The incident was reported around 11:30 p.m. at the Grande South high-rise on Pacific Highway north of West Broadway, said San Diego police Officer Sarah Foster.
Officers found two men who had been stabbed, one who died from his injuries. An injured woman also was found, she said.
The assailant — who was reportedly known by the victims — drove off after the attack. No one was in custody Sunday morning, Foster said.
No other details were immediately released, including the age of the victims or what led up to the stabbing.
Homicide detectives are handling the investigation and were expected to release more information on Sunday.
