The third annual Hope Lives Charity Golf Classic was Oct. 12 at The Grand Golf Club in Del Mar.
The event raised $609,000 for the Gene Burkard Employment and Education Services of Father Joe’s Villages. The services help people experiencing homelessness gain independence through employment classes, job searching tools and other opportunities.
Lunch was provided by Father Joe’s Villages’ Culinary Arts Program. On-course games included hole-in-one contests sponsored by Sedano Lincoln, Countywide Mechanical, and True North Holdings’ a “Beat the Pro” competition sponsored by Professional Maintenance Systems; and longest drive contest, sponsored by TransAmerican Direct.
