Households who haven’t received a Warm Home Discount have just three days to claim it if they’re eligible.
The discount scheme, run by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), is worth £150 and is applied directly to people’s energy bills if their supplier participates.
Payments started in October and continue until March, and most people should have received a letter confirming their eligibility by early January.
However, if someone believes they are eligible and haven’t received a letter, they must contact the Warm Home Discount scheme helpline by Friday, February 28.
Here’s a rundown of who qualifies and what energy providers are participating.

People who live in England and Wales can qualify if they have an account with one of 27 participating electricity suppliers and they either:

Most people eligible for the scheme will have received a letter confirming this. However, others may need to provide additional information in order to get it.
Some may have been missed entirely despite possibly being eligible.
In the latter two instances, people must call the helpline by Friday, February 28, 2025 to either confirm their details or bring attention to the missing payment.
People can reach the Warm Home Discount scheme helpline on 0800 030 9322 from Monday to Friday, between 8am to 6pm.
