
On Monday, eight cities in the county broke rainfall records and several streets and neighborhoods saw major flooding, including Southcrest and National City.

Cesar Chavez Elementary is accepting donations such as food and clothes through Friday. The school will be distributing to those affected by this week’s floods at the school on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.
Pillars of the Community and other local organizations are connecting volunteers to people and homes in need, and are looking for volunteers who can lift heavy objects. Contact 619-630-7195.
San Diego County Small Farm Flood Rescue: Berry Good Food has created a digital fundraising campaign to help local farmers. Organizers say that all money raised from this campaign will be distributed in the form of small grants to those most affected. Plus, Propagate Investment, led by Berry Good Food board member John McCarthy, will match donations up to $10,000. Berry Good Food hopes to raise up to $50,000 by mid-February and have farmers selected and grants distributed by March. To donate got to the fundraising page on zeffy.com.
