A pair of 39-year-old twins who look exceptionally young for their age have let their fans in on their best-kept secret for an instant facelift.
Kymber and Alexis McClay, also known as the Naven Twins, have shot to popularity since they started spilling their skincare routines on TikTok.
They garnered significant interest after posting a clip captioned “our anti-aging secret at 39,” where they showed followers their favourite hack for keeping skin taut.
In the video, the pair credit one routine as the reason behind the “instant” facelift they achieve every morning without surgical intervention; Gua Sha.
“You guys we are 39 years old and we want to share with you our skincare secret to keep our skin youthful,” said the twins. “We do every day to keep our skin healthy, youthful, and wrinkle-free”.
“It’s part of our morning routine, so check it out,” they explained in the video. “This is our aging set, it includes our Gua Sha and vegan face oil.”
They went on: “OK guys so first you hydrate the skin and then use our Gua Sha to really define those cheeks bones and jawline, to smooth those fine lines and wrinkles, and to de-puff the face.”
The main benefit of this routine is lymphatic drainage, which in theory removes all stagnant liquid from the face.
It involves a tool that is held against the skin at a 45-degree angle and stroked to the outer corners of the face, to activate the lymphatic nodes.
“You guys, look at this literally instant lift from an anti-aging set, it’s our little secret,” one of the twins added at the end of their routine, showing off her chiseled face.
The pair are two of many users on TikTok who vouch for the powers of gua sha for preserving youthfulness, including 73-year-old Lynne Zekis.
Just last week, the content creator credited the Chinese tool for looking decades younger than her age in a viral clip, where she explained: “I have been doing lymphatic drainage massage and Gua Sha and it works miracles.”
