One mother has explained that her best anti-ageing trick is one makeup item that can make your face look brighter and plumper. Joanne Baxter is a 52-year-old “makeup fanatic” and beauty influencer.
She has surprised many social media users with her appearing much younger than her actual age. On her TikTok account, @joanne_baxter, one shocked user wrote: “52? No way! You look years younger” while another person said: “You look incredible, literally glowing.”
Joanne has said the “power of makeup can take years off you” and encourages her fans to “experiment with makeup, have fun with makeup and enjoy.”
Joanne has told fans she has one anti-ageing makeup suggestion that will prevent women from getting a “cakey” makeup look that can make them look much older.
In one TikTok video, Joanne said mature women should wear an under-eye powder to help brighten their faces.
Joanne said: “At 52, when you’re choosing a brightening under-eye setting powder, you need to get it right. There’s literally nothing worse than having cakey, creasy, setting powder that just ages you, basically.”
Joanne has suggested using the lilac setting powder from Vitamin Babe which is not only cheap at £10 ($13) but is complimentary to anyone with mature skin.
On TikTok, Joanne shows herself applying the powder while doing her makeup and then revealed how much it has helped brighten her under-eye area.
She said: “Now having tried the lilac, there is absolutely no denying that this powder for the price is absolutely beautiful and I can assure you it works on mature skin.”
Users have quickly flooded Joanne’s video comment section to praise Joanne’s looks and are shocked at how much the setting powder works.
One user said: “Your make-up is perfect!” while another person wrote: “Oh my God! You look amazing and do not look 52.I thought you were in your 30s”
Someone else wrote: “Flipping heck you look fab, your skin looks flawless, mines not too bad for 54 but I’m definitely seeing lines.”
A fourth user wrote: “52?! You saw that one someone’s door! 22 more like!” to which Joanne replied: “Oh I so wish!”
