Princess Kate has been spotted with a new summer makeover. The royal is known for her classic blow-dry hairstyle, with her dark brown curls parted slightly off-centre and tumbling down.
However, it appears the Princess has decided to change things up this summer. Kate has been spotted with blonde highlights.
The royal is said to have had “baby lights”, a more natural version of the classic highlights, when finely woven highlights are placed throughout the hair, making it appear more vibrant. This look is popular with women with darker hair as it is a subtle way to lighten your hair and frame your face while not undertaking a dramatic hairstyle change.
Kate’s new honey-blonde highlights were noticed during the recent 2023 Royal Charity Polo Cup match, an annual event that both the Princess and Prince William attend in order to help raise money for charity.
Kate was seen cheering on William from the sidelines as he played in the polo match, and the pair seemed “very happy” to be there according to one royal expert
Kate has not just updated her hair but also her wardrobe, sporting a number of pastel-hued summer dresses for recent outings. According to a body language expert, this reflects that the royal is “feeling relaxed and carefree”.
Darren Stanton, a body language expert, pointed out that Kate’s summer dress was a dramatic change for the Princess. He said: “This [dress] is a real switch for Kate. We have never seen her wear this type of dress before. It’s very light and summery, it’s a switch from her normal colours.
“This reflects that she’s feeling relaxed and carefree. We can see lots of positive smiles from her. She is genuinely happy to be out and about at the event.”
The Princess of Wales wore a pale blue and white floral patterned dress for the march by London-based designer Baluah, and the dress is worth £550. The dress is known for its wide sleeves and distinct pattern making it appear in a more Bohemian style.
Kate has been spotted changing up her look by wearing many colourful outfits this summer, with but royal fans noticing she has been stepping out in many hot pink dresses.
She has been spotted in a pastel summer pink also designed by Beulah London worth £720 for the opening of the Young Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
