Kate, Princess of Wales and Prince William became engaged in November 2010 and she now wears Princess Diana’s iconic sapphire engagement ring.
The 12-carat royal blue sapphire that sits in the centre of Kate’s £400,000 sapphire engagement ring is surrounded by a circle of exquisite diamonds, meaning it is unmistakable.
The royal jeweller Garrard created Kate’s engagement ring, and it is said that when creating the legendary sparkler, the jeweller was influenced by one of its earliest designs.
As well as this jewel, Kate wears her £2,000 wedding ring made of Welsh gold. But the Princess also wears a third ring which eagle-eyed royal watchers have noticed.
This elegant and delicate design has a heartwarming backstory. Following the birth of Prince George, who is now nine years old, it is said that William gave the £1,400 Eclipse Diamond Eternity Ring by Annoushka as a push present.

Kate now wears this 0.23-carat diamond ring in addition to her wedding and her engagement ring.
When compared to Kate’s massive engagement sapphire, which originally belonged to Princess Diana, the small design of her Annoushka ring can be difficult to detect.
Since eternity bands have become so popular, more people are choosing to wear three rings after getting married rather than the traditional two.
Although it has not been confirmed, it is believed that the Princess also got push presents from her husband for the births of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Push presents, also known as gifts given to a woman by her partner in celebration of their child’s birth, have become extremely popular in recent years.
As well as Kate’s diamond eternity ring that she received after the birth of Prince George, she also has presents to commemorate the births of Charlotte and Louis.
Kate reportedly received a set of green tourmaline, green amethyst, and diamond earrings from William as a gift after the birth of the couple’s second child, Princess Charlotte.
The lovely stones were prominently worn by Kate in April 2016 while she and Prince William were on a royal visit to India.
According to reports at the time, Kate received a citrine ring to commemorate the birth of Prince Louis in 2018.
However, it has subsequently come to light that Kate had owned the sparkler for years, so it is unclear what Kate actually received as a push gift at Prince Louis’ delivery.
It is believed that Kate has received another diamond ring from William. While they were attending St Andrew’s University together in the early years of their relationship, the Prince is thought to have given the mother of three a lovely rose gold jewel.
The ring, which has the couple’s birthstones on it, was seen on Kate during their graduation ceremony in 2005.
