Kate, Princess of Wales joined her husband and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh at a Garden Party in Buckingham Palace this afternoon.
For the occasion, she wore a powder blue dress from the brand Elie Saab.
This is not a new dress, Kate previously wore it in 2019 for royal Ascot, and her ‘dress’ is in fact seperates – a long sleeve blouse and tulle skirt.
The blouse features a pussy-bow tie and a sheer bodice over a matching slip. It has lace detailing and sheer wrist-length cuffed sleeves.
The skirt falls between midi and maxi length, is made from tulle and features polka dot embroidery throughout.

The pieces appeared to be modified from the designer’s Resort 2019 collection, as the original blouse had shorter sleeves.
In terms of accessories, Kate wore very similar pieces from when she originally wore the dress in 2019.
She chose the same pair of silver Gianvito Rossi 105 pumps – of which she owns many pairs in a variety of colours.
The Italian designer crafted this pair from metallic silver leather. They feature an elegant pointed toe and a slim 105mm high heel.
She chose the same clutch bag which is also by Elie Saab.
It is the Abat Jour style from the designer’s Resort 2016 collection, and is made from leather, with metallic parts on the front and has matching silver hardware.
Her hat was the OC 147 style from Philip Treacy’s 2016 collection – she also owns this style hat in pale pink which she wore for Trooping the Colour in 2016.
The only difference in today’s outfit to that of 2019 was Kate’s choice of earrings.
In 2019, she accessorised her outfit with a pair of blue Kiki McDonough drop earrings that retailed for £3,500.
Today, she opted for the designer’s Blue Topaz Lola Hoops which retail for £3,500.
The product description reads: “These stunning Blue Topaz and Diamond hoops in 18ct White Gold add a splash of colour for every day.”
Kate has owned these earrings since 2012, and has worn them eight times in public, including today.
Fans took to social media to comment on Kate’s outfit. One said: “I’m glad she’s rewearing this look from Ascot. It was always one of my favourites.”
Another wrote: “I remember this dress/two-piece on her. It’s one of my favourite outfits.”
A third chimed: “This is one of my most favorite outfits that she has ever worn!!”
Soneome else commented: “I absolutely love that she rewears so many outfits. And this one is fantastic. Always thought it was a dress!”
