A man accused of holding a woman against her will and sexually assaulting her at an El Cajon trolley station Monday evening was arrested, according to police.
The incident was reported around 5:50 p.m. at the El Cajon Transit Center on Marshall Avenue, just east of Interstate 8, Lt. Jeremiah Larson said in a news release.
Police arrived and learned a Metro Transit System security guard had detained the man.
The woman told police the man forcibly kissed, groped and sexually assaulted her.
The 49-year-old man, who is currently homeless in El Cajon, was arrested on several charges.
Police said the man had a criminal history and alleged that he had not been in contact with his parole officer. He was also arrested on suspicion of violating his parole.
